DIY Tic-tac-toe Rock Game

Hello! Today we're making a DIY rock activity game. You will need:

  • 9 small rocks
  • black and white permanent markers
  • canvas or burlap bags

First, draw two lines vertically and two lines horizontally on the bag to make the grid for tic-tac-toe.

Then with the white marker, draw an X and an O on each side of the rocks.

And you're done! This is how mine turned out:

This DIY was very easy to make. It's a great activity for children and makes great party favors or gifts. I  hope you try this out!

DIY Starburst Slime

Hello! Today we're making DIY slime/putty made out of starburst! You will need:

  • starburst with your desired flavor (I used one pack)
  • 1/4 cup of powdered sugar

First, peel the wrappers off and separate the flavors into small, heat-safe jars.

Fill a saucepan 1/4 of the way full and put the jar in it on high heat. For faster melting, cut the Starburst into small pieces.

When the Starburst is completely melted, take the jar off the heat and add in some powdered sugar. Mix with a spoon, because the slime is too hot.

When the slime has cooled down enough, roll it into a ball.

And you're done! This is how mine turned out:

This DIY was super easy to make. I call it slime/putty because at first when it's hot it is the consistency of slime, but when it cools off it hardens into a putty. I hope you try this out sometime!

DIY Flower Bookmarks

Hello! Today we're making DIY clear flower bookmarks using Con-Tact paper. You will need:

  • 2 pieces of 2.5"x5" clear matte Con-Tact paper
  • small flowers and leaves of your choice
  • scissors
  • hole puncher
  • ribbon

First, peel off the paper layer of the adhesive paper and put it sticky side up.

Then, start arranging your leaves and flowers upside-down. Make sure you press them down and take out any air bubbles.

Cut off any excess leaves hanging from the edge of the Con-Tact paper.

Once everything is arranged, cover the leaves and flowers with the other piece of adhesive paper. Make sure to press out any air bubbles.

Cut off any excess Con-Tact paper to make nice, clean edges on your bookmark. Then use a hole puncher to make a hole for the ribbon at the top.

Put the ribbon through the hole and tie it off.

And you're done! This is how mine turned out:

This DIY was super easy to make. I already had all of the materials at home, so it was free! I like how I went outside and found all kinds of foliage. It was super fun! I really hope you try this one!

DIY Ice Cube Tray Chocolates

Hello! Today we're making DIY chocolates using ice cube trays. You will need:

  • 2 1/2 cups of chocolate chips of your choice- I used both milk and dark chocolate
  • 3 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons of chunky peanut butter
  • 6 pieces of caramel candy
  • 2 tablespoons of any nut of your choice- I used walnuts
  • cooking spray
  • ice cube tray

First, put the coconut oil and chocolate into a microwave-safe container.

Microwave in 30-second intervals until melted.

Spray ice cube tray with cooking spray and fill with chocolate 1/3 of the way up.

Tilt the tray in all angles to spread the chocolate all over the sides. I used a spoon to help cover all the corners of the tray.

Put the tray in the freezer for 2-3 minutes, or until hard.

Now it's time to add the fillings! Prepare the nut filling by combining it with chocolate. Pour all of your fillings into the tray, making sure to keep it in the middle in order to cover the sides with chocolate.

Cover the top with more chocolate, and freeze for 10-15 minutes.

Take it out, and you're done! These are how mine turned out:

This DIY was super fun to make! It's really cool how you can use something as simple as an ice cube tray to make something as delicious as chocolates! I hope you try these out sometime.

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 teaspoon of honey

Pour the honey into an airtight container. Smash the banana with a fork and add it to the honey.

Mix it all together, and you're done! This is how mine turned out:

This DIY was super easy to make. Even though it looks kind of gross, it's a good natural, effective alternative to the harsh chemicals we use on our faces. I hope you try this out sometime!
