DIY Air Freshener Gel

Hello! Today we're making DIY air freshener gel. You will need:

  • 1 ounce or 4 packets of clear, unflavored gelatin
  • 2 cups of water, separated into 1 cup amounts
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • Empty containers
  • Food coloring
  • Essential oils of your choice
  • Saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Funnel

First, add a few drops of food coloring to the empty container.

Next, add 15-20 drops of essential oil.

Then, add 1 cup of water in a saucepan and bring it to a boil.

Carefully, add the gelatin to the hot water, and whisk until combined and gelatin is dissolved.

After that, add your salt and remaining cup of water. Whisk until dissolved.

After the salt dissolves, take it off the heat.

It's time to transfer the mixture into the jar! I found it easier to use a funnel when transferring.

After everything is poured out into containers, they should look something like this:

Lastly, put your gelatin mix into the refrigerator overnight, or leave it out at room temperature for 24 hours. When everything is solidified, you're done! These are how mine look:

This DIY was very easy, and not at all time consuming. These are great to put around any room, to give a great scent. These are good for about 6 months, then you'll have to replace them. I hope you enjoyed this!

DIY Fruit Roll-Ups

Hi! Today we're making DIT fruit roll-ups. These are a healthier version of the store-bought ones, and customizable to the fruit of your choice. You will need:

  • 3 large apples, or 1 1/4 pounds of chopped fruit
  • 3/4 cup of sugar (I used 1/2 teaspoon of stevia)
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • Blender
  • Pot or pan
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Scissors

First, preheat your oven to 200° F. Then put all of your ingredients into the blender.

Blend the ingredients until pureed.

After that, transfer your puree into a pan on high heat until simmering. When simmered, turn the heat down to medium until the puree is very thick. Mine took about 20 minutes.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and spread the puree out into an even layer.

Put your baking sheet into the oven for 3 and a half hours.

After that, take it out of the oven. Let it cool until you can handle the temperature. It should be a bit tacky, but also pliable.

Cut the puree into strips with some scissors, and roll them up.

And you're done! This is how mine turned out:

This DIY was fairly easy, but so time consuming. It's a great way to use overripe fruit, and it makes a good healthy snack. I hope you try this out sometime. Enjoy!

  • 20-25 drops of essential oil of your choice
  • Empty container to put finished product in

Put all of your ingredients in a bowl, and mix together.

Put the mixture in a container, and you're done! This is how mine turned out:

DIY Deodorizing Disks

Hello! Today we're making DIY deodorizing disks. You can put them anywhere to minimize any odors. For this, you will need:
  • 2 cups of baking soda
  • 1 cup of water
  • Essential oil- I used rosemary
  • Silicone molds
  • Bowl to mix ingredients in
  • Whisk or spoon to stir
  • Optional: food coloring

First, add 3-4 drops of your essential oil to 1/2 cup of water.

Pour your baking soda into a bowl, and add your oil and water mixture. Then put in the rest of your water. Stir in food coloring if desired.

Stir everything together with a whisk until a thick paste forms. If it's too wet, add more baking soda. If it's too dry, add more water.

When everything is mixed thoroughly, pour the mixture into your molds.

Lastly, let dry. Mine took about 24 hours to dry, so this is a pretty time consuming project. When they are finally dry, take them out of the molds. And you're done! These are how mine turned out:

This DIY was very easy to make. They actually work to deodorize different places. The only thing is that they are very time consuming, but it's worth it! I recommend this DIY.

DIY Soap

Hello! Today we're going to make DIY soap. This is the easier method, because I used a melt and pour soap base instead of making it from scratch. You will need:

  • Clear melt and pour soap base
  • Optional: white melt and pour soap base
  • Silicone molds
  • Optional: soap coloring
  • Optional: essential oils or soap fragrance oils

First, melt your soap in the microwave for about 3 minutes, stirring at 30 second intervals.

Then, if you want to add coloring or scents, add them in. I used 5-6 drops of the fragrance oil, and 2-3 drops of soap coloring.

Next, pour the liquid into the molds. This is optional if you want the soaps to have an opaque bottom. Pour the liquid soap 3/4 of the way full into the mold. Let sit or put in refrigerator until cool. Mine took about 15 minutes in the refrigerator.

Melt the white soap base in the microwave just like the clear soap. Add coloring and fragrance if desired.

Pour the soap onto the tops of the clear soap to fill the mold to the top.

Let them cool, and you're done! Mine turned out like this:

I really enjoyed making these soaps. This DIY is super easy to make, and a fun project all around. They make great gifts, and you can personalize them by changing the scent and color of the soap. I really recommend doing this sometime.

DIY Paper Crane Garland

Hello! Happy spring! Today we're making a DIY origami paper crane garland. You will need:

  • Square pieces of paper- I used origami paper
  • Scissors
  • String
  • Needle
  • Tacks to hang on the wall

First, make your origami cranes. If you don't know how to do it, just search it up on Google.

After you've make about 10-15 cranes, put the needle through an arm's length of string, or however much you want to make it.

Then, string the needle through the middle of each crane.

The last step is to hang it up with some tacks. There you have it! Your own DIY garland. This is how mine looks:

This DIY was so fun to make. It's a great way to welcome the spring season, or just for room decor! It took about an hour from start to finish, but it was worth it. You should try this one out!

Then, stir for 30 seconds. Leave it to simmer for 5 minutes. By then the sugar should be dissolved.

Take it off the heat and add the vanilla extract.

Then, put the mixture in a container and let it cool. You're done! This is how mine looks like:
