DIY Vanilla Syrup

Hi! Today we're going to make vanilla syrup. This DIY is great as a sweetener, or if you want to make a DIY Starbucks drink. You will need:

  • 2/3 cup of white sugar
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
  • Saucepan

First, put your sugar and water in a saucepan, and put it over medium heat.

Then, stir for 30 seconds. Leave it to simmer for 5 minutes. By then the sugar should be dissolved.

Take it off the heat and add the vanilla extract.

Then, put the mixture in a container and let it cool. You're done! This is how mine looks like:

This DIY was pretty self-explanatory, and fun to make. It tastes great, and I like how you can make different flavors of syrup depending on what kind of extract you use. Enjoy!

Until next week,
-Vasti
