DIY Kool-Aid Slime

Hey guys! Today we're making DIY slime that's also edible. You will need:

  • 1/4 teaspoon any flavor of Kool-Aid
  • 1 tablespoon of Meta-Mucil or any generic brand that has psyllium in it
  • 1 cup of water
  • Microwaveable bowl
  • Fork or something to stir
  • Microwave

Pour the water into the microwaveable bowl. Add the Meta-Mucil and Kool-Aid and stir until dissolved.

Then microwave the ingredients for about 3 minutes, or until bubbles form. Stir. Then, microwave for another 2 minutes. It should be very hot. Let it cool off, or if you're impatient like me, get a bigger bowl with ice and put the hot bowl into it. It should cool off in about 10 minutes.

And that's it! It is edible, but it doesn't taste very good. It's really slimy, and fun to play with! The only downside is that it dyed my hands red. This is how mine looks:

This DIY was fun and super easy to make. You should try it!

DIY Decorative Basket

Hello! To get into the fall season, we're making decorative baskets.

You will need:

  • Glue gun and glue sticks
  • Piece of fabric
  • Empty container with lid
  • Stuffing (I used an old pillow)
  • Ribbon
  • Needle and thread
  • Plate
  • Scissors

The first thing to do is cut your fabric big enough to fit around the container. I used a plate.

Then, with your needle and thread, sew along the edges to make ruffles, or pleats.

Then, without tying a knot at the end, pull the thread through the fabric, so it looks like a shower cap.

Then, glue the bottom of the container with your glue gun and put it in the center of the fabric.

Take your stuffing and glue it to the sides of the plastic container.

Next, glue the fabric to the rim of the container.

Cut the rim on the lid of the container. This is going to be your handle.

Then, wrap the plastic handle in some fabric and glue it.

Glue it to the container.

And that's it! You can line the inside with fabric if you want. This is how it looks like when it's done:

This DIY was fun, and really easy. It's cool how you can recycle something so simple into something so cool! I hope you try this out!

DIY Edible Play Dough

Hey guys! Welcome back. Today we're making edible play dough. Let's get started:

You will need:

  • Marshmallows
  • Powdered sugar
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Water
  • Food coloring

The first thing to do is microwave the marshmallows in the microwave with a tiny bit of water.

Then add the powdered sugar. There's no exact amount, just keep adding a little at a time and keep mixing until you get a thick consistency.

Next add food coloring, and knead it with your hands until it looks like play dough. This is what mine looks like:

This DIY was a bit hard to make, because at first mine wouldn't stick together. The trick is to keep mixing, even though it might not come together at first. Other than that, it was really fun to make, and you really can eat it! I hope you try this out sometime and have fun. My family and I sure did!

Until next week,

DIY Erasers

Hey guys! Today we're making DIY erasers.

You will need:

  • Eraser Clay
  • Oven or toaster oven

The first thing to do is mold your clay into anything you want. I went for a donut.

Then, according to the instructions. bake your clay and let it cool.

When the clay is cooled, it should be ready to erase!

This DIY was so fun to make. It's really cool how you can make your own erasers at home and customize them to you liking. There's a few things I would change about this DIY came out. One of them are the colors in the kit. It was hard for me to make something cool with the colors I had because there were too many bright colors, but it worked out in the end. Another thing I would change is the directions. They were hard to follow and confusing, so in the end I overcooked them. Despite these setbacks, I had a lot of fun making these, and I really hope you try them out. Just be cautious!
