You will need:
- Glue gun and glue sticks
- Piece of fabric
- Empty container with lid
- Stuffing (I used an old pillow)
- Ribbon
- Needle and thread
- Plate
- Scissors
The first thing to do is cut your fabric big enough to fit around the container. I used a plate.
Then, with your needle and thread, sew along the edges to make ruffles, or pleats.
Then, without tying a knot at the end, pull the thread through the fabric, so it looks like a shower cap.
Then, glue the bottom of the container with your glue gun and put it in the center of the fabric.
Take your stuffing and glue it to the sides of the plastic container.
Next, glue the fabric to the rim of the container.
Cut the rim on the lid of the container. This is going to be your handle.
Then, wrap the plastic handle in some fabric and glue it.
Glue it to the container.
And that's it! You can line the inside with fabric if you want. This is how it looks like when it's done:
This DIY was fun, and really easy. It's cool how you can recycle something so simple into something so cool! I hope you try this out!
Until next week,
