DIY Air Freshener Gel

Hello! Today we're making DIY air freshener gel. You will need:

  • 1 ounce or 4 packets of clear, unflavored gelatin
  • 2 cups of water, separated into 1 cup amounts
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • Empty containers
  • Food coloring
  • Essential oils of your choice
  • Saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Funnel

First, add a few drops of food coloring to the empty container.

Next, add 15-20 drops of essential oil.

Then, add 1 cup of water in a saucepan and bring it to a boil.

Carefully, add the gelatin to the hot water, and whisk until combined and gelatin is dissolved.

After that, add your salt and remaining cup of water. Whisk until dissolved.

After the salt dissolves, take it off the heat.

It's time to transfer the mixture into the jar! I found it easier to use a funnel when transferring.

After everything is poured out into containers, they should look something like this:

Lastly, put your gelatin mix into the refrigerator overnight, or leave it out at room temperature for 24 hours. When everything is solidified, you're done! These are how mine look:

This DIY was very easy, and not at all time consuming. These are great to put around any room, to give a great scent. These are good for about 6 months, then you'll have to replace them. I hope you enjoyed this!

Until next week,
-Vasti
